(0) marks: 0

The town of Albisola Superiore in the area of Savona is characterized by the magnificent Baroque gardens of the Villa Gavotti. Here you can have a wonderful holiday. A picturesque brick bridge over the river Riobasco leads to the medieval old town. Numerous small shops and boutiques sell various goods and cozy restaurants pamper the palate with Ligurian dishes.

The city of Albisola Superiore is famous as the centre of Italian ceramics where the well-known factory of Manlio Trucco is situated. The magnificent works, which are still made at small family factories, are exposed in the museums. They show ceramics of the Roman period and unique antique pieces of the period from the 15th to the 19th century. You can even see the works of such artists as Luzzati and Arturo Martini. Not far from Albisola Superiore (nearly 1 km) its sister-town, Albisola Marina, is located. There are big table mosaics here which are made of small ceramic plates by famous artists of the 20th century.

People who visit Albisola Superiore have a good opportunity to see its picturesque landscape. It is very easy to reach the town of Genoa and other small coastal towns by train. Wonderful sand beaches and crystal water of the sea offer numerous opportunities for going in for water sports. Active tourists should see the unique flora and fauna of the Apennines. Albisola Superiore is a real paradise for gourmets as the Ligurian cuisine and wines are fantastically delicious!
