Alassio is a beautiful place in Liguria. It is situated on a wonderful coast of the Italian Riviera delle Palme. Its beautiful nature is worth seeing. And more over, countless magic places are to be found here. Tourists from different parts of the world come here to spend time on an exotic sand beach. Families with children will surely feel comfortable here. There is enough space for everybody at a 3 km long beach even during the most popular holiday period from May till September. Tourists can walk along the water front and enjoy the beauty around them.

There are a lot of interesting places to visit here. Alassio is a great place for walks. Its historic buildings will make everyone feel excited. The relatively well-preserved medieval walls tell us about the historic significance of Alassio. Together with the fortress there are also some fascinating churches in the town. The churches “La Madonna della Guardia", "Chiesa di Sant Ambrogio" and "Chiesa dei Cappuccini" are always open for the visitors. They were built in the 16th century and are real works of art. More over, some church spires are higher than some Italian hills. The Ligurian city offers accommodation, too. There are big and small hotels for any taste and any budget. The 11,000 inhabitants of Alassio live off tourism. Their hospitality and local cuisine make this town unforgettable. The cafes and bars in Alassio offer Ligurian dishes. The main characteristic of the town is Ligurian olive oil, which is pressed right here. Olive trees and vineyards decorate the landscape. Green areas separate Alassio from the neighbouring places Albenga, Andorra, Laigueglia, Villanova d’Albenga. To get acquainted with this part of the Riviera you should have a walk or ride a bike there. And you can be sure, you'll get much pleasure from your walks there.

Genoa goes to Venice to win the regatta of ancient maritime republics
Genoa, Venice, Pisa and Amalfi are going to compete for the first place in the regatta of ancient maritime republics, which this year will be held on June 12 in Venice. The regatta is preceded by a spectacular large-scale Italian costumed show.
