Recco

Recco is a nice little town on the Mediterranean coast in Liguria that is situated in a small bay of the river Recco. On the west it’s limited by the mountains of the much larger port town of Portofino. This is a very quiet tourist town on the coast of the wild Levante and it can be recommended to all tourists who want to have rest from the daily routine. Every year in early September in Recco is organized great fantastic firework. During this event are organized various contests between the districts of Bastia, Ponte, Collodari and Liceto. One of the most popular events is the noble contest of several riders with thoroughbred horses, which are locally sponsored. There is a tradition in Recco to set the flags in the sanctuary, a classical building and at the great feasts.
