Vallecrosia is a town located in Liguria, in the province of Imperia that offers the guests to spend a beautiful and eventful holiday. Its location at the Riviera is unique. First of all, the sandy beach offers enough space to spend a lovely day at the seaside. The scenery is relatively weak, so nothing stands in the way of pleasure for swimming. From the boardwalk the visitor has a striking view of the Riviera.
The oldest part of Vallecrosia is continued in the hinterland. Throughout the history of the city it spreads more and more towards the sea. A magnificent gate of the 16th century leads to the lower part of the city. There are a lot of old historic houses the roofs of which are covered with tile in the French style. During a tour around Vallecrosia tourists can discover many wonderful churches. One of the main sights is stucco facade of the parish Sant 'Antonio Abate".
The pilgrimage church of Santa Maria delle Grazie from the 12th century is the oldest parish church in Vallecrosia. It is a popular destination as well as the church of San Rocco which unites the parts of the former Romanesque church. Arts and culture fans can also visit such sights as the "Museo della Canzone e della Riproduzione". It is an extraordinary music and songs museum, unique in its kind in Europe. It contains a collection of instruments, records, precious manuscripts and other rarities. An important date is the second Sunday of every month where a large antiques market called "U cantun dell` antigu“ is held here.
Because of the natural beauty of Vallecrosia the accommodation booked here will turn a vacation to a very special experience. Originally there were large olive groves, which are now replaced by great flower boxes.
