Liguria is a beautiful coastal region in northwestern Italy. The whole region can be divided into four provinces: Genoa, La Spezia, Imperia and Savona. Virtually Liguria covers the entire Italian Riviera. It is also clear that the tourist region is strongly influenced, for example, by Cinque Terre, 5 magical villages attract large crowds each year, especially in spring. Talking about events in Liguria many people think of the fashionable seaside town of San Remo because of the number of events which are very well known. Here is held one of the famous cycling races, the Milan-San Remo, which attracts thousands of sports fans each year. National and international stars as well as the usual asterisks of show business meet here. But even here, there are cultural events in Liguria, which make the visit interesting without any fuss shows. It is the San Remo Music Festival, which offers people a challenging music and a chance to see and hear music idols closer.
Events in the Liguria also include several activities in Paleios. Horse riding is the central point of people’s interest here. There is also located Santa Margherita Ligure, where you can have wonderful holiday spending time seeing the sights of the entire city or the environment outside it, or see the horses and jockeys racing around the central square. Santa Margherita Ligure also holds the international sailing races organized annually by the Yacht Club. The Carlo Negri Cup attracts athletes and fans from all over Europe. It is good if you have your accommodation booked beforehand as the city is turned to a very crowded place.
